Lieutenant Colonel Paul O. Kwon is currently serving as the Director, Preventive Medicine Branch at Walter Reed Army Institute of Research. He also previously served as Chief of Preventive Medicine to support Medical Command Alaska at Fort Wainwright; Chief of Pediatrics at Fort Irwin, California; and, Chief Medical Officer for the 44th Area Support Medical Clinic while deployed to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Lieutenant Colonel Kwon is a graduate of the United States Military Academy, West Point, New York and Midwestern University, Glendale, Arizona. He completed residencies in Preventive and Occupational Medicine at Madigan Army Medical Center, Tacoma, Washington and Pediatrics at the San Antonio Uniformed Services Health Consortium at San Antonio, Texas. He is also a Master of Science degree graduate of Oregon State University, Corvallis, Oregon in Environmental/Civil Engineering and a Master of Public Health graduate of University of Washington, Seattle, Washington. He is Board certified physician in Pediatrics, Preventive Medicine, and Occupational Medicine. Lieutenant Colonel Kwon’s awards include the Army Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal with three Oak Leaf Clusters, Army Achievement Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster, and Army Reserve Component Achievement Medal. |
